TAX CUTS: Is it a good thing?

TAX CUTS: Is it a good thing?

Economics-Business, Government, History, Legislature, Presidential, Trump News
As it stands the average American worker works six months of every calendar year to pay their taxes... this is not only irresponsible it is highway robbery considering what we get in return for our bucks... Looking at the Market today -- surpassing 22K - we can easily ascertain they are ignoring the DC scutterbut and continue to trade at a robust rate -- enough to make our market soar for the time being. Why? Because they like our gold-spinning Commander in Chief, regardless what the media and Democrats would like for you to believe! They know Trump and know him well. History, history and more history... The way many on the Hill are reacting to the Tax Reform proposal, one would wonder if it is a good thing but in fact, history shows us, it's always a good economy when Americans and b...
Is the Left Crumbling?

Is the Left Crumbling?

Current Affairs, Media
They say the harder they fight, the harder they fall... could it not be said with the Left continuing their jaunts of fighting their vicious but fictitious battles, they are demonstrating how their position is falling faster from public grace? It's true, we've seen their many narratives die on the vine over the previous months. It's been dying for years but the death was slow and methodical as they creeped more and more into Americans' businesses, living rooms and bedrooms, dictating their whimsical balderdash of social justice and politically correct dictums. However, in recent months, with Donald Trump leading the charge, their SJW/PC world has come crumbling down around their ears to the point the in-fighting is almost comical to witness. With their stunning loss in GA06 after...
Hearings on the Hill: Kabuki Theater with Russian Dressing on the side!

Hearings on the Hill: Kabuki Theater with Russian Dressing on the side!

Current Affairs, Democrats, Government, President Trump
The Democrats are scattering as their stories are falling apart. However, apart as they come, they still continue to double down and triple down on failed stories while wasting taxpayer money and time, knowing soon, they will be on vacation yet once again! It seems these days, the Senators and Congress are all about posing for the cameras and giving everyone a bunch of rubbish to keep themselves in some kind of relevancy. Guess, President Trump's tireless work schedule is making them all jealous because they can't possibly keep up with his break neck speed. On the Hill today, hearings are going on with all investigatory brass where Senator Mark Warner (D) is asking questions, pretending to give a hoot about what Americans 'need to know' about this whole Russian mess. Both Coats an...
Is all the Twitter Scuttlebutt just Subterfuge by the Media?

Is all the Twitter Scuttlebutt just Subterfuge by the Media?

Current Affairs, Media, President Trump
A lot of the media has been yammering on and on and on about President Trump's tweets. Its getting a bit ridiculous as the pick the man to death over every little thing he tweets, does and says. The negativity has reached epic levels and frankly, if they don't want people to turn them off entirely, they need to knock it off. This morning watching the AM news on Fox News and Fox Business, every interview with a representative from the House and Senate seem to begin with, "So do you think the President should stop tweet?" Flash: WHO CARES?  Answer: Nobody. The media is ticked because they're so used to be the self-appointed gatekeepers of all things news. Perhaps they should have thought about this when they were lying their tushes off during the last election and every second
Who REALLY Caused the 2008 Bubble?

Who REALLY Caused the 2008 Bubble?

Debates, Economics-Business, Election News, Government, Issues, Trump News
Last night at the first presidential debate, we were treated to the first face-to-face standoff between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. While it was somewhat lackluster and not as spirited as some of the primaries' debates, it did prove some interesting things. One not so startling revelation is Clinton proved to me without a shadow of doubt, she has absolutely no clue about how 2008's Housing/Economic bubble occurred or its true origins. When Trump said he was replicating the tax cuts of the Reagan era (which actually were done by John F. Kennedy in 1961), she scoffed and started talking nonsense about "trickledown" blah blah blah. All old memes that push false narratives that are full of big talk and little to no action. Typical Democrat rhetoric they've been trying to shove d

Does it feel like 5% to you?

Issues
By Thornton Crowe (first published on Salisbury News) As the media trumps the three-month 5% unemployment numbers like it was a great accolade on behalf of the Obama camp, one finds that most people are not buying it. Salisbury has sustained several closings and layoffs over the last year, leaving us with a rising unemployment – now up to 7% in Wicomico County. Mind you, this figure does not include the following: under-employed – part-time workers who want full-time work, benefits expired/exhausted, unqualified for unemployment insurance and jobseekers that have simply given up. One quick look on Careerbuilders.com – which tells you how many have applied for any given position – you’ll find some jobs have 300+ applicants. Yet, Day’s first bold statement is to hire a Marketing Firm
