Shock Horror!

Election News, International Politics
By Thornton Crowe Originally Published on Salisbury News Everyone was so surprised when Great Britain voted to leave the European Union last Thursday. It certainly was a huge defeat for globalists (the European version of our DC Establishment) who thought they had Europe sewn up without a hitch! Guess bets are not always as they seem... All opinion polls said the Remains were going to be the victors, so what happened? Interesting question... with a simple answer: The Bradley Effect. Many of you may also know this as the Wilder Effect as it also happened to Doug Wilder in his run run for Virginia governor some years after Bradley. Back in 1982, then Los Angeles mayor, Tom Bradley ran for governor of California. Pretty much the same thing happened. All the opinion and exit
Trump’s Secret Weapon!

Trump’s Secret Weapon!

Election News, Media, Trump News
From the beginning of his campaign, there have been many people coming out to support Donald Trump. All the usual suspects like Rudy Giuliani, Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter and others have hawked he is the change America needs after the unmitigated disaster of Obama's so-called legacy. However, two unlikely self-made pundits came to the forefront and their names are Diamond and Silk. These two delightful video bloggers have been helping spread the word about Trump but also educating voters about current affairs and misdeeds of other candidates - both Republican and Democrat. Their new brand of political support is refreshing as they deliver their punches with great informed humor. Sisters Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson are now celebrities in thei...

A Big Snow Job?

Corruption, Election News, Issues, Trump News
By Thornton Crowe Published on Salisbury News Back in 2012, Republicans were not enchanted with Romney. Fact is, many voted for old Mitt because they were stuck with him! We all knew he was more liberal than conservative in every way possible. Things like the Romneycare disaster in Massachusetts while he was governor and other inclinations led us to believe he was more Democrat 'Lite' than a real conservative. However, from the previous three years prior, we saw the Democrat dominated DC establishment pass insane (and unconstitutional) legislature like Obamacare without so much as reading the bill in its entirety. People wanted this practice to stop because these Omnibills contain other nuisance laws and regulations which have proven to be economy killers. Along came Paul Ryan -...
Can We Really Trust MSM Opinion Polls?

Can We Really Trust MSM Opinion Polls?

Election News, Media, Trump News
By Thornton Crowe The political pundits like Karl Rove will tell you the unfavorables and favorables with glee but can we really trust the MSM polls? What's in a poll... four months away? Even Larry Sabato from UVA agrees the polls now are not necessarily indicative of who wins or loses in November! With pollsters these days having their own inner-agendas and reasons for one candidate over another winning, believing the polls administered by the propaganda arm of our government is absolutely absurd. During this election cycle, even Fox News has shows its true stripes in biased reporting and translucent stumping for any other GOP candidate than Donald Trump. We can't depend on these so-called people polls as a gauge of what's going on or where voters lean as we move towards the gen...
Get Politics OUT of Commencement Addresses

Get Politics OUT of Commencement Addresses

Hollywood, Media, Trump News
By Thornton Crowe Published on Salisbury News A graduation is a right of passage into adulthood. It's a serious occasion! The commencement address is one of the most important parts of the ceremony, second to getting handed that empty folder with the promise the real one is in the mail! Matt Damon delivered a commencement speech at prestigious MIT over the weekend and instead of commending the graduates on their hard work and fortitude, he took the time to bash Trump. Obviously, he disrespected the graduates because he was more interested in his own politics than their accomplishments for which the graduation was supposed to be celebrating! What's gotten into people and their commencement speeches over the last few years? Why do they view this as a place to do their personal ...
Clinton: Really the First Female to Run for President?

Clinton: Really the First Female to Run for President?

Election News, History
By Thornton Crowe Maybe in an alter-universe, but... One name not found anywhere in the Common Core agenda is Victoria Woodhull. Hence, why Ms. Clinton was able to pontificate about being the first female to be a presidential nominee? Once again, Ms. Clinton lied. It's a too bad she didn't take US History while she was studying to perform the perfect subterfuge to con Americans. A speech recognizing Ms. Woodhull and how she plans on carrying her predecessor's great history into the 21st century would have much more stirring than screaming about how she owned the new ceiling when she didn't. In 1872, Ms. Woodhull ran in the presidential election on the Equal Rights ticket. She didn't get any electoral votes; however, her popular vote has been long disputed. Funny, that many don'...
Is This Really How You Win An Election?

Is This Really How You Win An Election?

Corruption, Election News, Issues, Media, Trump News
By Thornton Crowe Watching some of the morning news, the clips of various candidates; namely Clinton and Sanders -- I see nothing but bashing Trump rather than talking to audiences about their own values and platforms. Is this really how you win elections? Bashing the opponent yet offering no ideas to the people? In Clinton's so-called Foreign Policy Speech last week, she said Trump's name an alarming 56 times in an hour. That's once every minute. Very little was learned about her stance - not that we don't know already know her idea of foreign policy is everything America is for sale to the highest bidder! With everything wrong in this country right now, why are candidates too busy bashing one another rather than offering us real solutions? Trump has outlined his platform on his ...
Should Johnny Really Go To College?

Should Johnny Really Go To College?

Education, Issues
By Thornton Crowe Published on Salisbury News Little story. A few years ago, I needed an electrician to fix a faulty outside electrical socket after a hard rain. After much calling around (even to my neighbor who is an electrician,) I found getting this simple 10 minute task would have to wait for three weeks to get done. Finally, I found Mr. Bradshaw. He came over and fixed the socket, (bringing parts with so no down time)! Calling around was the biggest investment of my time that day -- over two hours of answering machines and Suzy automation. Sadly, Mr. Bradshaw passed away in 2013. Now what? If you're a homeowner, you know finding people skilled in plumbing and electricity is very hard - especially on the Eastern Shore -- and quite expensive. While Bradshaw was very reasonable, ...
